Each lesson is carefully planned, and a clear objective is established for each lesson. This could be a topic that you found difficult in class, preparing for an upcoming test or working on complex exam style problems to build confidence in a topic.

During the Lesson

I use an online whiteboard to create notes. The notes are written live during the lesson while I explain and discuss how to solve a problem. The notes are saved as a pdf to the student's google drive. Over the course of the year, this becomes a tailor made revision file focused on that student.

Homework

Maths is not a spectator sport! It is essential that students spend time tackling problems independently to consolidate their understanding and develop their problem-solving skills. I set and mark homework after each lesson, taking into account students' existing school workload and working with parents to agree on a manageable amount.
